We were invited to participate to the Romanian version of the Dragons’ Den (aka Shark Tank, Lions’ Den). The show just aired on the Romanian television ProTV. For those of you that cannot understand the language in the video below, the short summary is that we proposed 20% of our companies, both our float center in Brasov, Romania and our float tank manufacturing business for the amount of 200 000 EUR. We needed those money to grow our location in Brasov, we are thinking of expanding from 4 to a 6-tanks float center / showroom. And also, grow our production capabilities for all our 4 different tanks models.
We were very well received, two of the investors “battled” for the spot and in the end we had to choose one of them. It was a tough choice for us, because we appreciated both of them, and both had experience and assets that could have helped us. A third one also offered to present our tanks in his show rooms, one of the biggest furniture producers in Romania. But the biggest gain for us, especially now in difficult times for float centers, SPA’s and hotels all around the world, was the exposure that we had on a top-rating show in our country.
The response was great, we received a lot of calls afterwards and we have made a lot of people curious. In Romania, the float therapy is quite a new thing, we were the ones to open the first float center here in 2015. Since then, things grew a bit, there are now over 15 float centers in Romania, and most of them use our tanks. It might seem a lot for a small country in Eastern Europe, because we cannot compare with the US or the Western Europe, but there is still a lot of room to grow. We wanted to share these news with you, especially because in these troubled times, we need to remember that there is still hope and good things still happen.
Our thanks go to the incredible team of show producers from Imperiul Leilor, they managed to present the float therapy in quite a good light and they also worked a lot to make those 10 minutes of show time possible.
